Summit Defense
Summit Defense is a collection of criminal defense lawyers representing
clients in Northern California, with offices in San Francisco, Oakland,
South Bay, Point Richmond, and Peninsula. They have 25 years of
courtroom experience in the Bay area. For people that have been charged
with a criminal offense, Summit Defense's goal is to get all charges
dropped and dismissed. If this is not possible, they will strive to
negotiate positive resolutions for their clients that include avoiding
jail time or possibly even prosecution.
The attorneys
There are ten attorneys that make up the law offices of Summit Defense.
James Reilly has over 20 years
of experience practicing criminal law and his track record includes
successfully handling over 100 jury trials and 40 District Court
Appeals. He was a former supervising District Attorney so has the
experience to go up against prosecutors and ensure winning at trial.
Michelle Spaulding graduated
from one of the most prestigious law schools in the country -- Harvard.
She has worked for and was mentored by top-notch law firms before
practicing law at Summit Defense. Very few people can say they've won a
Federal Court Death Penalty Appeal, which is one of the most difficult
types of cases to win, and Michelle Spaulding accomplished that.
Mario Andrews is a former
police officer, which gives him a definite advantage of knowing how
"the other side" works. When preparing for trial, he can spot
weaknesses in prosecutor's cases until it falls apart. Mr. Andrews
recently won a double murder trial.
Rabin Nabizadeh has been very
successful in helping clients that are charged with DUI, theft, and
domestic violence cases, to the more serious charges of burglary, sex
crimes, and murder. He has an accomplished history in both Federal and
State courts.
Robert Preskill has been an
attorney for almost 15 years and is considered a "no-nonsense"
negotiator that does not sugar coat a situation and will tell it like
it is. He received his bachelor's and law degrees from the University
of Illinois, one of the most prestigious in the country.
Steve Davidson has been
assisting clients for the past 10 years to avoid prosecution. He is
quoted as saying that "Nothing is more frustrating than when a person
comes to us facing a serious charge that could have been avoided had
they contacted us earlier. I believe strongly in early intervention and
I never let my clients put their heads in the sand and hope for the
best. We don't hope for the best outcome -- we take steps together to
ensure the best outcome."
Richard Weese is known as a
"master negotiator" that consistently achieves outstanding results. He
joined Summit Defense after working for one of the largest criminal
defense firms in the United States for ten years.
Patricia Ann Campi is
originally from the Sacramento area and attended college there. She
knows the legal community, including the judges and the DAs. She is
known for her stubborn work ethic, and always says she "hates to lose."
This tenacity results in constant wins at trials.
Kimberly Lutes-Koths started
her law career by performing an internship at the San Francisco
District Attorney's Office, to get a feel for the other side of the
law. She then furthered her skills by working for the office of the
public defender, where she won every case she tried. Since joining
Summit Defense, she can proudly say she has won every domestic violence
trial that she's conducted.
The last attorney practicing at Summit Defense is Scott Mossman. He has extensive
experience dealing with non-citizens who are charged with a crime. He
has the knowledge and skills to assist these types of individuals to
make intelligent decisions regarding their strategies for defense. He
graduated in the top 5% of his class at University of California, where
he obtained his law degree.
Summit Defense is composed of ten highly successful and competent
criminal defense attorneys who consistently achieve outstanding results
for their clients. They work as a team and their diverse backgrounds
ensure that clients will receive the best representation there is. Not
only do they excel in the courtroom but they have compassion for their
clients and genuinely care about them and the outcome of their cases.
